Kigali: Made in Rwanda Expo 2019 opened officially (PHOTOS)

Today the 22nd November 2019, at Gikondo Expo grounds the place with thousands of people from Rwanda and all over the world gathered with smiles on their faces just to look around what Made in Rwanda Expo 2019 brings to them.

Only the early birds know about the ribbon because at 11:27 am, Minister at MINICOM, Soraya Hakuziyaremye cut it officially and opened the two-week expo that has filled exhibitors the whole expo grounds with the number around 420.

After the official opening leaders were represented different products that was made in Rwanda.

The exhibitors this year total up to 420 in almost all sections including textile, furniture, e-commerce and of course the only phone manufacturer in Africa, Maraphones.

And “people should not worry about the prices for made-in-Rwanda products because we stopped taxing raw materials imported by local manufacturers,” assured Minister Hakuziyaremye, reminding that Rwandans should also support locally-made goods.

Last year’s exhibition registered a total of 51,000 visitors according to PSF’s figures.

PSF’s chairman Robert Bafakulera explained that every product that is fully or partially manufactured or assembled within Rwandan borders is described as ‘Made-in-Rwanda’.
